Incorporated as Safe Ride Services, Inc. in October of 1989 we have been providing door-to-door, non-emergency medical and specialized transportation services to HMOs, PPOs, Medicaid, hospitals, medical centers, schools, and other healthcare and insurance companies nationwide.

Safe Ride Services has operated from coast to coast in communities large and small including those in; Florida, Illinois, New York, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona and Washington.

In 1996 Safe Ride Services was acquired by Laidlaw Transit Services, Inc. one of the nations leading providers of fixed-route, paratransit, and call-center solution providers. In that year, Safe Ride recorded over 1 million passenger trips.

Laidlaw International, Inc. was acquired by FirstGroup PLC on October 1, 2007.
